Dr Kyra Craft – BVSc (Hons)

Head Veterinarian & Co-Founder

Dr Kyra is one of the Founders and Directors of Wet Noses.

Dr Kyra graduated from the University of Queensland in 2003. After working in Northern NSW, followed by a stint in the UK, she settled on the Gold Coast to be close to family (and the beach of course). She has worked extensively in several areas of the veterinary world – including Emergency and Critical Care, as well as Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Now with two young children and many of her own pets to look after, Dr Kyra has found her niche as the Head Veterinarian at Wet Noses. This role enables Dr Kyra to provide an exceptional quality of care and treatment for your pets, in the peaceful and calm environment of your own home.

Kara Roberts – BA/LLB

Managing Partner & Co-Founder

Kara is one of the Founders and Directors of Wet Noses.

Kara is the Practice Manager and is one of your first points of contact when you call Wet Noses. Kara has over 20 years experience in marketing, PR, brand development and business management, with a broad range of experience with start-ups, corporates and not-for-profit organisations. Kara’s love for animals began at a young age and she has been both a mum and foster mum to many fur babies. Kara has a son named Bodie and a Weimaraner named Lukah.

Kara loves being involved in an industry which genuinely makes a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.

Dr Lauren Droney – BVSc (Hons)

Veterinarian

Growing up on a beef cattle property surrounded by animals, Lauren knew from a young age that she wanted to be a vet. After graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland, Lauren began her veterinary career in a mixed practice in Goondiwindi. After 18 months in rural practice Lauren made the move to the Gold Coast and has since gained experience in an emergency veterinary hospital and one of the Gold Coast’s busiest general practices. Lauren has a keen interest in small animal surgery and diagnostic imaging. She and her pets have embraced the move to the Gold Coast. Mia, Lauren’s Spoodle, especially loves the beach. Whilst her kitty cat, Ida enjoys a more slumber lifestyle at home. Lauren is passionate about caring for your pets, as if they were her own.

Dr Caitlin Sullivan – BVSc (Hons)

Veterinarian

Caitlin graduated from the University of QLD in 2015 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. Once graduated, she worked as a veterinarian at a small animal practice in Ipswich where she had nursed for 5 years. After 8 months, she made the move to the Gold Coast and hasn’t looked back since! She gained more experience at an extremely busy clinic with an emphasis on welfare work and has now joined the Wet Noses team. Caitlin has three furbabies – Oscar the cat, Tika the husky and Wiz the labrador. Her special interests lie in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging and she can’t wait to start meeting your pets!

Kate Swenson – Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing

Veterinary Nurse

Having grown up on acreage with many animals of all shapes and sizes, Nurse Kate naturally found her way into the animal care industry and has never looked back. Over the past 15 years she has worked in both general practice, specialist referral hospitals and emergency hospitals on the east coast of Australia, Perth and in England. She has volunteered with Vets Beyond Borders in India and has fostered, hand-reared and adopted many cats and dogs along the way. Nurse Kate and her Husband have recently relocated back to the Gold Coast after spending some years in Perth. They have two little human children and a four legged one – and a big fluffy house cat named Ben.

Karen Davis-Morgan – Certificate III in Veterinary Nursing

Veterinary Nurse

Karen joins the Wet Noses team after spending 9-years as a veterinary nurse in the animal welfare industry. With a huge heart, a love for all animals and an enormous passion for canine behaviour, Karen has found her feet in the mobile veterinary world. Karen grew up with many animals and has fostered animals in need for most of her life. Many of them end up staying, and luckily for Karen, her husband and their two sons share her passion for animals and her need to always have multiple pets in their home. They currently have some very special dogs “their girls” as part of their family,  all have been rescued and in need of a warm and loving home.
